For the second time this week, a flight leaving from Des Moines had to be diverted Wednesday afternoon.

The American Eagle flight was heading from Iowa’s capital to Dallas when it had a flap issue.

The plane landed in Kansas City, was inspected then took off for Dallas again when it was given the all clear.

On Monday a flight from Des Moines to Denver had to make an emergency landing in Omaha after the pilot suffered a cardiac problem and passed out.

The co-pilot landed the plane without issue.

The pilot was taken to an Omaha hospital.
