The governors of Iowa and Nebraska came together Friday to reveal more information about an unprecedented collaboration between the states.

Gov. Terry Branstad and Gov. Dave Heineman announced the company, Advance Southwest Iowa, formally joined the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership Friday.

Advance Southwest Iowa president, Sharon White, says the multi-county collaboration with the partnership is a strategic move that will allow greater exposure and more business leads resulting in jobs and investment for the region.

Gov. Branstad says this type of regional approach will give Iowa more clout on the national scene and help bring more jobs to southwest Iowa.
