Another Iowan has decided to throw his hat in the ring and run for governor.

Jonathan Narcisse said he will make the official announcement to run on Monday at the African-American Museum of Iowa in Cedar Rapids.  Narcisse spent time serving on the Des Moines School Board and as the co-chair of the Polk County Democratic Party.

Narcisse ran for governor in 2010 as an Independent candidate.

This time around, Narcisse said he’ll run as a Democrat against Des Moines State Senator Jack Hatch in the Democratic Primary.  The Democratic candidate will then face long-time incumbent Gov. Terry Branstad.
