Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Jack Hatch has released his fundraising totals.

The state senator says his campaign has raised more than $447,000 with more than $236,000 in cash on hand. In a statement released Sunday, Hatch thanked his donors, “Thank you to everyone that has been supporting my campaign. We are on track to build the organization that we need. The path to beating Terry Branstad will be long and hard, but together we can build the coalition that Iowa needs.”

The Hatch campaign says the money has come from nearly 400 individual donors.

Earlier this month Gov. Terry Branstad announced he raised $3.4 million in 2013 for his reelection campaign. That gives him more than $4.1 million on hand.

I had a dream Branstad got reelected, retired and we here in Iowa get “Sara Palin Jr” Reynolds as gov. Iowa then slips back in time another 20 years.
