MAYORS’ MEETING: Cownie In Washington D.C.

Mayors from across the country are in Washington D.C. to share ideas on how to better their cities.

The group, nearly 300 strong, includes Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie and the mayors of Davenport and Dubuque.

The group is discussing a number of topics during the two day event including the economy, clean energy, transportation and disaster preparedness.

Good news is already coming out of the meeting – presenters say growth is projected in the job and economic sectors in 363 metropolitan areas.
