Waukee parents didn’t let the snow hamper their children’s future.

Voters overwhelmingly approved a plan to borrow $18.9-million to construct a new elementary school at the intersection of Dartmoor and Douglas Avenue. Another school will also be updated.

Of the three percent that voted, over 92-percent were in favor of it according to the Dallas County auditor.

It will be Waukee’s eighth new school in fourteen years. The project is expected to be finished in 2016.
