Des Moines police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an apologetic robbery suspect.

Tuesday evening around 7:00 a man entered the GameStop in the 5000 block of Southeast 14th Street. He demanded money and merchandise and took phones from the store and employees.

Police say initially the suspect said he was “sorry for being the guy that had to do this” but then yelled at employees for taking too long and threatened to shoot them.

The suspect is described as 30 to 40-years-old and approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall with a blonde stubble beard.

If you know who the man is you’re asked to call police or Polk County Crime Stoppers.
