The Ames Public Library and book-mobile stayed closed on Wednesday due to staff illness.

Officials said more than 20 employees are suffering from a stomach virus.  Cleaners are busy disinfecting public spaces inside the library.

The Iowa Department of Public Health and the Story County Health Department are both helping out in this case.

A sign on the door of the Ames library says the building will be closed on Thursday as well.
