WIND CHILL ADVISORY: Bitter Cold Continues

Skies will become mostly clear tonight and temperatures will be cold, dropping below zero. Wind chills will be dangerously cold.

A Wind Chill Advisory goes into effect for Central Iowa at midnight and lasts through 8 AM Wednesday. North Central Iowa will be under a Wind Chill Advisory from 8 PM tonight through 11 AM Wednesday. Wind chills will drop as low as -20 to -30 during those time frames.

There will be a brief warm up on Wednesday to the lower 20s, but another push of arctic air arrives on Thursday taking daytime highs back to only 10 degrees. Snow chances return Friday through Sunday. It looks like 2+ inches in Des Moines Friday....and measurable snow Saturday night to Sunday morning.
