SATISFIED CITY: Johnston Survey Finds Happy Residents

A new community survey has the city of Johnston ranked above the national average.

The survey rated Johnston higher than the national average in 37 of the 45 assessed areas, including quality of city services, overall safety of the city, city trails and overall cleanliness.

The survey found 90 percent of its residents are satisfied with their quality of police protection while 88 percent are satisfied with the quality of fire protection.  84 percent of residents surveyed said they were satisfied with the city park maintenance.

The survey was completed by a random sample of 636 households late in 2013.
