The cold has proved costly for the city of Leon.

On Monday morning the town suffered a major water main break that drained both water towers.

Residents had no water service Monday. Today, the issues have yet to be completely resolved.

Residents are being asked to keep water usage to a minimum while water pressure is restored to the towers.  Any water that is available should be boiled before being used.

Engineers are working on the problem and say it could be another two to three days before the boil order is lifted.
