Officials are holding a 6:00 p.m. news conference Tuesday to release information about two bodies discovered in a fire in western Iowa Monday afternoon.

Fire crews were called to a property between Deloit and Denison on Milford Road on a structure fire and a grass fire. When crews arrived they found a burning trailer home. During efforts to extinguish the fire, two bodies were located.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is looking into the case along with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. The DCI says at this point they are not ruling anything out in the investigation.

Autopsies on the bodies are being performed Tuesday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny.
