An accident involving two semi trucks caused part of I-35 to be shutdown Wednesday morning.

The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. about a quarter mile north of the Indianola exit, closing the northbound lanes of traffic. It appears one semi rear-ended the other.

The drivers from both trucks were taken to the hospital but information on their injuries has not been released.

Around 10:30 a.m. all but the right lane of traffic was re-opened. Crews are still working to clear the accident.
