A Des Moines man says he was shot while being robbed late Monday night.

Chad Kain told police he was walking on Maury near Southeast 30th Street when a car pulled up next to him.

Two males got out, demanded Kain’s jewelry and pushed him down. While he was on the ground, Kain was shot in the leg.

Kain says the suspect looked surprised that the gun went off and Kain doesn’t think the suspect meant to shoot him.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital.

No arrests have been made in the case.

The whole story sounds a little too fishy, Bet their was something to do with drugs along the lines or so……..

Also this guy has a long criminal history with a still open felony case of assault”. So it sounds more like a revenge hit to me!!!
