If you're looking for a job, a career in agriculture could be a wise career path.
A study released by the Coalition for a Sustainable Agriculture Workforce shows life sciences and agricultural industry companies expect to hire over 1,000 trained scientists through 2015.
But it's challenging to find people to fill those positions; the Coalition says half of those hired in various sciences will need doctoral degrees, and the preliminary data looks bleak.
According to the coalition, the need to double global food supplies by the mid-21st century makes hiring new scientists critical.
