SNOW SHOWERS: Refreeze Overnight, Slick Morning

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

A few snow showers will linger this evening in Central Iowa. No major accumulation is expected, as a lot of melting will be happening at the same time. Visibilities may be reduced briefly with some of the heavier snow showers. There may even be a few spotty rain showers as well with temperatures above freezing.

Even though the snow may not stick much to pavement, the slush and runoff will refreeze overnight and create slick conditions into Tuesday.

Temperatures will be back in the 40s and 50s for daytime highs by the end of the week. Thursday will be rainy.
