The Environmental Protection Agency is under new scrutiny in Congress; a bill from Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe would prohibit EPA from finalizing major regulation without an economic impact analysis of its current regulations.

The EPA Employment Impact Analysis Act cites several examples in which the National Economic Research Associates reported EPA regulations would result in thousands of job losses.

The measure currently has 29 cosponsors, including Nebraska Senator Mike Johanns, who says the Administration’s regulatory onslaught is making it harder for Americans to find good jobs.
