We have an amazing follow up to a story we brought you on Thursday.

Keith Miner has been battling ALS for three years. The disease is quickly robbing him of movement and affecting his speech.

He hopes a stem cell treatment only offered in China will help give him more time to spend with his family.

“Try something now and don`t do anything and within a year and a half, two years I might die,” Miner told Channel 13.

On Thursday when the story first aired, he was $10,000 short of paying for the trip. Since then donations have been pouring in and on Friday afternoon they exceeded their $35,000 fundraising goal with the help of over 540 people.

Keith plans to travel to Beijing in May for the treatment.
