LATE RALLY: Cyclones’ Fine Season Comes To An End

The pride of Yonkers kept Iowa State from being blown out but despite Dustin Hogue’s 34 points, the Cyclones lost to UConn Friday night.

It didn’t look like the Cyclones of the past few weeks as they went in to the half down ten, 36-26.

At one stage after the break, UConn extended their lead to 17. The Cyclone fans had their loudest roar of the night as ISU showed signs of life, clawing back to get within seven with 4:29 to play.

The Clones continued their fight back getting within four with two minutes left.

Free throws became the decider as UConn nailed 20 of 22 while the went 6-15.

Iowa State lose 81-76.

Their 28 wins this season is the second most in school history.

    The season is over and the school and coach sit back and count the real winnings. CASH. School takes in millions. The coach takes home millions and the players go home with a thank you. Some return to inner citys with less hope than they had before feeling used and often with injurys. Kinda like being treated like a mule.
