    We all had memories of that old building but in the long run its just property

    I used to work not to far from Younkers and would go there on my noon hour and spend a lot of money.
    Sorry to see it go.

    So sad to see the building burn. The building sat empty for many years. Then good news to make apartments and retail . Many men worked to gut this building since last summer. Then through the winter in very cold environment. And as they brought in sheet rock and shower stalls etc. in Feb., then new windows were being installed in March. Looking so good. . Great job firemen to protect other property near that building. Dale
