Former Des Moines School Board member Jonathon Narcisse won’t appear on primary ballots this summer.

Narcisse was attempting to challenge state Senator Jack Hatch for the Democratic nominee for governor.

However, the Secretary of State’s office ruled Narcisse failed to proper fill out forms required to become a candidate.

A district court agreed with the Secretary of State and on Monday, the Iowa Supreme Court agreed with the lower court.

Narcisse ran as an Independent candidate for governor in 2010.
