Des Moines police are investigating an accident near Roosevelt High School Friday.

Officers were called out to 42nd Street on a report of a car hitting a 15-year-old pedestrian shortly after 7 a.m.

Police say the teen ran out from the Git-N-Go store giving the driver little time to react.

The teen said she was not hurt and was allowed to go to school.
