A bill that would give a tax break to the Knoxville Raceway moved ahead at the Statehouse.

The Iowa House approved a sales tax rebate of $2-million to help cover the costs of an expansion project at the sprint car track.

It now moves to the Iowa Senate.

Lawmakers approved the extension of a similar but much larger incentive at the Iowa Speedway in Newton earlier this year.
