A director at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy is stepping down more than a year after an investigation found that he violated anti-discrimination and violence-free workplace policies.

Michael Quinn plans to retire at the end of June, saying he wants to spend more time with his family.

An investigation in 2012 found that Quinn threatened to slit a fellow instructor’s throat and repeatedly talked to female recruits about his sex life.

Quinn was reprimanded, but allowed to keep his $91-thousand a year job.

And what does Mr. Branstad say about this? Seems like I remember Terry defending this guy when this first surfaced. Will this be another nail in the Branstad coffin? Kind of looks that way.

Branstad is the commander and chief and it’s become obvious that he has no control of his staff. Workforce Developement, DPS and now this. It’s time for him to go Iowa. We have become the laughing stock of America!
