Overnight tonight a slight chance of thunderstorms will develop in far western Iowa. A strong storm is possible near the Missouri border, but better chances for storms arrive tomorrow.

Some isolated showers and storms early Sunday morning will start the day. After a brief break, we will see more storms move in by late afternoon and lasting through the evening. Some storms may produce some hail and damaging winds. Highs will again be near 70.

Heavy rain will also be an issue with the storms through the evening before the larger storm systems slows to a halt and locks Central Iowa in cloudy, breezy weather with showers for the rest of the week.

Rain amounts will range from 1 to 3" across Central Iowa by the end of the week. There could be locally higher amounts that have stronger thunderstorms move through.
