The city of Collins has marked the planned demolition of the Highway 65 bridge.

About 460 of the 495 people who live in Collins posed for a photo on the bridge Thursday morning.

Photographer, Andrea Berg used a boom truck to get residents and students from the Collins-Maxwell-Baxter school district in the shot, according to the Ames Tribune.

The bridge is scheduled to be torn down next week.

It’s not the first time the town has posed for a bridge demolition.

A similar picture was taken in 1983, just prior to the removal of a different bridge south of town.
