You can now add Johnston’s Sam Graving to the distinguished list.

Graving won USA Today Gatorade Iowa Boys Soccer Player of the Year.

Graving is the first Dragon to win the award.

The 6-1 senior forward has 10 goals and 6 assists for undefeated Johnston. Graving also carries a 3.57 grade point average.

“It’s humbling to receive that award. I don’t think I could have done it without the coaching I’ve had throughout my four years and my team mates,” Graving said. “I receive this but I also give it to them.”

Graving has signed a letter of intent to play for Drake University.
