Showers and thunderstorms have popped up both in Southern and Northern Iowa this afternoon. These storms should stay below severe limits. However, heavy rainfall is possible with some of them. There is also a possibility of weak funnel clouds in Southern Iowa today. These funnels should not reach the ground.

Scattered showers and storms will continue through the evening. Temperatures will drop to the mid 60s overnight. Wednesday brings another warm and humid day. Pop up showers and storms are again likely, mainly in Eastern Iowa.

Drier conditions are expected Thursday and Friday with highs remaining in the 80s.
