Children receiving treatment at Blank Children’s Hospital got a special visitor Thursday.

The Principal Charity Classic gave the hospital a check for $10,000.

Besides the donation, pro golfer Ken Green took time out of his day to hang with the young patients.

Back in 2009, Green lost his leg after being in an RV crash. His brother, girlfriend and dog died in the crash.

He says he makes it his mission to give back and show people that life goes on.

“You have a choice. You can either drink yourself to death in a bar or sit in a house. Or you can have a purpose. And my purpose is to try to give as much joy and hope in somebody that I can possibly do,” Green said.

The tournament starts Friday at the Wakonda Club at 9 a.m.
