ARMED ROBBERY: Suspect Hits Ames Convenience Store

Ames police are looking for an armed robbery suspect.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at about 2 a.m. Tuesday at the Swift Shop in the 3400 block of Lincoln Way.

Police say the suspect showed a handgun and demanded money.

Police haven’t said how much the man took off with before fleeing southbound on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 150-160 lbs. and 5’6” to 5’7”.

No one was injured.
