D-DAY LANDINGS: Iowans To Mark 70th Anniversary

World War II vets are remembering the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

June 6th marks the day when 150,000 American, British, Canadian, French and Polish troops landed in Normandy.

The invasion eventually led to the liberation of Europe and the end of the war.

There will be a special program Friday at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown at 10 a.m.

There will be guest speakers from the Iowa National Guard.

The public is invited to attend.
