Museums across the state are participating in Iowa Museum Week. Governor Terry Branstad signed the proclamation last year. The event reminds Iowans what these attractions have to offer not only during a visit, but to the community at large.

According to the Iowa Museum Association our state’s museums attract nearly five million visitors every year. Combine that with the more than 2,300 Iowans they employ and these attractions can have a big impact on the community’s economy.
