DCI Investigating Mitchellville Elected Official for Alleged Inappropriate Conduct with Kids

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa — Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation officials tell Channel 13 that they have launched an investigation at the request of the Mitchellville Police Department.

They would not go into the details of the investigation with us, but according to the Des Moines Register it involves a Mitchellville elected official who allegedly engaged in inappropriate conduct with children.

The Register says police were contacted by a Mitchellville Elementary School staff member about the allegations on June 2nd.

DCI officials hope to wrap up their investigation this week and turn over findings to the Mitchellville Police Department.
