HAMDEN, Connecticut — A poll released Thursday shows Gov. Terry Branstad has a nearly double-digit lead over his challenger.
The Quinnipiac University Poll shows Branstad leading challenger Jack Hatch 47 to 38-percent.
The survey notes Hatch may be struggling to get his name out there. Sixty-four percent of voters said they did not know enough about Hatch to form an opinion about him.
That’s a small step from three months ago, when the number was 74-percent.
The poll also shows different views on re-electing Gov. Branstad.
More than half of the Iowa voters polled approve of the job Branstad is doing. Forty-eight-percent said he deserves reelection, while 45-percent said he did not.
The Phantom
Great numbers considering the liberal slant the Quinnipiac University Poll has. I believe historically you can add 5-8% to any Republican canidate in their poll.
