OTTUMWA, Iowa – An Iowa Marine was laid to rest Sunday.

Lance Corporal Adam Wolff, 25, died on June 19th in Afghanistan.

His funeral was held in his home town of Ottumwa.

Wolff had just deployed in March and had served in the Marines for less than two years.

Iowans paid their respects to Lance Corporal Wolff as his body returned home on Saturday.

A plane carried him to Cedar Rapids. Then Patriot Guard Riders escorted the fallen Marine to Ottumwa.

People with signs and flags lined the route.

The family is asking all memorials be made to the wounded warrior project or fisher house.
