GUTHRIE CENTER -- A man wanted in connection with the death of a Grimes teen who died from an overdose in June of 2013 has been arrested.

Officials with the U.S. Marshal Task Force and the Ankeny Police Department were seeking 25-year-old Patrick Glade on a warrant for involuntary manslaughter Tuesday at an address in Ankeny. Glade wasn’t there but officers learned he was likely in Guthrie Center.

On the way to Guthrie Center, Glade’s attorney contacted the Marshal’s office and told them his client would surrender at the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say 17-year-old Aaliyah West died June 22nd, 2013 from an overdose of methadone after a party.

Glade is being held in the Polk County Jail on a bond of $20,000.
