Realtors say it could be the next booming metro community and eleven of its newly built homes will be on display each of the next three weekends.

Norwalk is playing host to the 39th Annual Home Show Expo.

The event is designed to put potential buyers in contact with home builders and to give current owners new ideas for their homes.

Norwalk is becoming a hot spot for real estate.

In the past year, residential building permits have doubled in the town as the population has risen to nearly 10,000 people.

Organizers say location is the key to Norwalk’s growth.

“Out here you’re ten minutes to Jordan Creek, ten minutes to downtown, and you’re close to the airport. It’s just a wonderful location,” said James Von Gillern, Director of Home Show Expo 2014.

Home Show Expo runs Thursday-Sunday until July 27th.

Admission is $10 dollars for adults and $5 dollars for kids.
