DES MOINES, Iowa – A Des Moines man claims he is being blackmailed by a woman who recorded him on the internet in a “compromising situation.”

The 47-year-old man told police he met the woman last Saturday and chatted on Skype. They apparently “hit it off.”

The victim said the woman, who claims to be from California, demanded money or she would send the recordings to his family and post them to Facebook.

The man sent $200 to a relative of the woman’s in the Philippines, but the victim told police the threats haven’t stopped.

Police say they haven’t been able to make progress with the investigation because they haven’t been able to contact the suspect.

Last sentence makes no sense. Throughout the article it gives facts the victim told police. Then the last sentence says the investigation is stymied because police have been unable to contact the victim. Does staff writer mean “suspect”?

Having read the police report, the “victim” is William Denison.

He apparently was dressed in leather gimp suit with orange gag ball in his mouth, while apparently abusing himself..
