Man Found Dead in Eldon, Investigators Call Death ‘Suspicious’

ELDON, Iowa — Authorities in Wapello County are investigating a “suspicious” death in Eldon.

The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the Main Street Bait Shop in Eldon, at 529 W. Elm Street, at 7:16 a.m. Monday on a death.

Officials say they found 64-year-old Darrell Teeter, who lived at that address, deceased.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the case. The death is suspicious in nature and an autopsy will be performed by the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office.
