CLARION, Iowa — A jury has been selected in the murder trial of the man accused of killing an Iowa police officer.

Rockwell City officer Jamie Buenting was serving an arrest warrant at the home of Corey Trott, when Buenting was shot in the chest.

Trott’s first-degree murder trial is being held in Wright County. The venue was changed because of pre-trial publicity.

Opening statements are scheduled to begin Wednesday.

A perfect example of the need for deadly force. Trott is a P.O.S. who took the life of a police officer who never saw it coming. And of course their is no looting, demonstration and violence for this heroic officer.
