WRIGHT COUNTY, Iowa — The trial for a Rockwell City man accused of killing a police officer is scheduled to begin Tuesday.

Rockwell City police officer Jamie Buenting was shot and killed last September while serving an arrest warrant at the home of Corey Trott.

Investigators say Trott, 33, shot Buenting in the chest, killing him.

Residents from Wright County are set to be picked to fill the jury. The trial was moved to Clarion because of pre-trial publicity.
