DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police say they have caught the man who robbed the Git n Go on Merle Hay Road Sunday night.

Officers say 33-year-old Jason VanDyke of Des Moines went into the store, demanded money and then told the clerk to go into the bathroom. He had a blue t-shirt pulled over his head and did not show a weapon.

Tips led police to VanDyke.

He is charged with second degree robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
