Cyclones Fall Short Against #20 Kansas State

AMES - After laying an egg in week 1 against North Dakota State Iowa State looked much improved in week 2 against Kansas State, but the Cyclones lose their Big 12 opener 32-28.

The Wildcats scored 19 unanswered points after ISU took a commanding 28-13 lead.

Sam Richardson threw for 185 yards and a TD while Jarvis West had a huge day, 8 catches 75 yards to go along with the trifecta of TD's.  West caught a TD, had an 82 yard punt return for a TD, and even threw a 29 yard TD to Allen Lazard.  It was Lazard's first TD as a Cyclone.

Jake Waters led Kansas State with 239 yards passing and 138 yards rushing.

Iowa State falls to 0-2 on the year, the Cyclones are on the road next week at Iowa.
