Biden also discussed raising taxes on corporations and pay inequality, saying the middle class is "in trouble".

Biden, who is seen as possible candidate for President in 2016, visited Iowa just days after Hillary Clinton's appearance at the Harkin Steak Fry.

Thursday's "Nuns on the Bus" stop is part of a 10-state tour to encourage voter turnout on Election Day.
