AMES, Iowa — Iowa State University students are planning a memorial service for a junior found dead last week.
The Chinese Students and Scholars Association is holding the event on Friday. Those gathered will remember Tong Shao, a chemical engineering major from China.
Shao’s body was found in the trunk of a car in Iowa City after she had been reported missing. Police say her death is suspicious, but no arrests have been made.
The service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on the lawn south of the Campanile.
