DES MOINES, Iowa — It’s only October but the Salvation Army is already gearing up for its Red Kettle Campaign.

Officials are kicking things off with the Red Kettle Run next month at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines. The goal of the run is to encourage more people to sign up to ring bells this holiday season and donate to the cause.

Kathy Healy from the Salvation Army joined us on the Channel 13 News at 4 to talk more about the run and the campaign.
