Armed Woman Steals Painkillers From East Side Pharmacy

DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police say a woman got away with more than $500 of prescription painkillers from an east side pharmacy early Thursday morning.

Officers were called the Walgreens at 2545 East Euclid just before 3 a.m.

A pharmacist said a white woman wearing a blue hoodie and a bandana over her face showed a pistol in her waistband and asked for hydromorphone.

The employee gave the suspect four bottles of the drug, and the woman took off.

Investigators are looking at security video of the robbery.

    And you think pot is a problem. Perscription drugs are a far worse problem than pot or alcohol, but as long as the drug companies have their hands in the pockets of the politicians nothing will change. Pill poppers are as bad as meth heads.

    ” BRUTALLY HONEST ” … Couldn’t have said it better. There is Now a New Law Regulating Pain Meds. They can Only be Prescribed 30 days at a time by a Signed Physician and the Person Must Present Identification AND Sign for them. They Cannot be picked up by Any Other Person Other then the One they are prescribed to. Due to the fact? There are TO MANY Addicts out there Abusing them. Now? It says on the bottle? “These pills are NOT to be Crushed, Chewed, Or Injected.”
