DES MOINES, Iowa -- A family is still waiting for justice after a Des Moines man was gunned down in an alley three years ago.

Thursday, family and friends gathered to remember 32-year-old Marion Harris. The father of eight was shot outside of a bar on East 14th Street on October 9th, 2011.

Several people witnessed the crime, but so far police haven't made any arrests.

Harris' family members say they'll keep coming back to the spot where he was killed on the anniversary of his death until the killer is caught.

“We have hope that one day someone will step forward. And give some closure. We have our moments. His mom has her moments, she thinks about her son all the time,” says Calvetta Williams, a friend of Harris’.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at 223-1400.

There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Just thought I’d stir the pot… How come the reward for this guy is only $1,000 but for Ashley Okland, the realtor who was murdered in West Des Moines, the reward is $150,000? They both bleed red, right?
