WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - There's so much bacon on the menu at a new bacon-themed Jethro's location, they decided to use the word twice in the restaurant's name.

'Jethro's BBQ 'n Bacon Bacon' will be the sixth location for the locally-owned group, opening Tuesday morning. Located at 1480 22nd Street in West Des Moines, if you can't find it on your GPS, simply follow your nose.

“We have been working on this Bacon concept for several years," said Bruce Gerleman, owner of the restaurant group. "This location in the heart of West Des Moines and the Metro area is perfect. Our patrons love our bacon and have been asking to extend our weekend brunch hours. Jethro’s Bacon Bacon
with “Breakfast Always’ is Jethro’s answer."

How do you like your bacon? Gerleman says it doesn't matter - because they've likely got it all. Crispy bacon, "floppy" bacon, bacon pancakes, bacon ice-cream, and bacon so thick you could mistake it for a steak; in a state where pigs outnumber people seven-to-one, the only thing more surprising than some of Jethro's BBQ n' Bacon Bacon menu items is the fact that it took this long for Iowa's capitol city to open a place like this.

I am surprised no one has mentioned how much of a drunk the owner is, and how he behaves in his restaurants, not to mention I’m surprised no one has sued him for sexual discrimination, since he won’t allow any male servers or hosts.
