DES MOINES, Iowa — The AARP says three out of five families with a person 65 or older don’t have money saved for retirement

Data from a non-profit group called Employee Benefit Research Institute and Greenwald and Associates shows more troubling numbers. That group found 36 percent of all workers have less than $1,000  saved for retirement.

Channel 13’s Dave Price asked the question of retirement security to two candidates running for Iowa’s Third Congressional District, Democrat Staci Appel and Republican David Young. Take a look at their responses in the video below:
